Deposits and Payments
A $50 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit is required to place a chinchilla on hold for up to 30 days. Payment can be made online by request. The remainder of the price will be due in cash upon pick up.

Baby chinchillas have to be fully weaned before going to adoption family, which normally takes 8-12 weeks.

No check payment: Currently, we do NOT accept checks for payment.

Pickup and Transportation
PICKUP: Arrangements for pickup will not be made until a deposit has been received for said animal. Pickup arrangements are made by appointment only. You will need to bring a metal or plastic carrier to take your chinchilla home. No cardboard boxes. If you are a no show for the agreed pick up day and no reschedule at least 24 hour prior to pick up, the deposit is forfeited.

SHIPPING: We do not ship our animals. We do arrange occasional trips to NY, NJ, DE, and MD. Transportation of chinchilla may be arranged at an additional cost that is due prior to travel. Email us to request more details.
Health Guarantee
All animals are sold in good health. Main Line Chinchillas will refund/replace the animal in question only if the following conditions have ALL been met:

Illness/death occurs within the first 7 days following purchase and can be proven by a veterinarian to have been contracted while in our care, OR genetic predisposition can be proven to have caused illness or death within the first two years;

All care guidelines given by Main Line Chinchillas to the buyer were followed;

The animal was bred by Main Line Chinchillas. Retired breeders, rescues, and animals not bred by us have no inherent guarantees. All Main Line-bred animals will feature the letters 'PHD' on their birth certificate/cage card.
